Although digitization in Lebanon generally fares well compared to other countries in the MENA region, this system has not yet been fully embraced by most sectors in the country. A report released by the Digital Arabia Network Mapping Project showed that Lebanon has 143 digital actors, the highest number of which, 67, belonging to the business and innovation industries.The E-government Development Index for 2018 included in the report showed that Lebanon ranks 99th out of 193 countries.Conversely, the startup scene in Lebanon, ranked 59th in the 2018 Global Entrepreneurship Index, can be considered a rapidly growing ecosystem having raked in 10 percent of investment deals in the MENA region in 2018, according to the report.
