NGOs mobilize refugee aid as winter arrives

This article was amended on Thursday, November 10 2016

A previous version of this article misquoted UNHCR’s Lisa Abou Khaled as saying that 60 percent of funds pledged to her agency have been received. In fact, she said 41 percent have been received. It also misquoted her as saying that half of Syrian refugees are living under $2.09 a day. In fact, she said they are living under $2.90 a day. We regret these errors.
