The United States donated $5 million to the Internal Security Forces Friday to upgrade Lebanon's biometric verification system.The goal of the project is to facilitate information sharing between Lebanon's security agencies to better fight terrorism.While this specific donation came from Washington, the U.K. has partnered with the U.S. in revamping Lebanon's biometric system. The U.S. and Britain are the primary supporters of Lebanon's security agencies. A U.S. State Department draft budget will cut military aid to Lebanon for the 2018 fiscal year.
